Know before you call
What Jaime handles - and when you need a licensed electrician.
Jaime is upfront about scope. Panels, new circuits, EV chargers, and generator transfer switches require a NJ licensed electrician. Jaime refers honestly and doesn't take work he can't do correctly.
Smart switch tip: Lutron Caseta, Leviton, and Kasa dimmers require a neutral wire at the switch box. Older Bergen County homes - especially pre-1980 Hackensack colonials - sometimes don't have one. Jaime checks before quoting so there are no surprises on the day.

Electrical Repairs on the route
Downtown Ridgefield Park · Neighborhood
1920s wood-frame homes on narrow lots mean original switches, dimmers that buzz, and ceiling fans that have not been balanced in decades. Most Ridgefield Park electrical visits are a fan swap and outlet refresh in one trip.
Hamilton Avenue · Main roads
Walkable blocks off the Boulevard mean apartment-sized furniture deliveries and fan swaps in low-ceiling bedrooms - I bring a stocked drill case so nothing waits on a hardware store run.
Phillips Avenue · Main roads
Outlet and switch swaps on Phillips Avenue are often same-day - same truck, same flat pricing as Hackensack proper, usually on-site within the hour when the schedule allows.

What customers say
Wired right. Real Bergen County homes.
“Jaime did our backsplash and refaced our cabinets in five days flat. Wrote everything down before he started, showed up on time every morning, and the kitchen was vacuumed before he left each night. My husband and I have hired three handymen over fifteen years in Hackensack - Jaime is the first one we'd call back.”
Maria R.
Hackensack, NJ
“We had a 1950s pink-tile bathroom that needed everything but the tile. Jaime kept the tile, replaced the vanity, the toilet, the shower fixtures, and re-grouted the whole thing in six days. Came in under the quote. Hablo español so he could explain everything to my mother who was visiting. Excellent work.”
David L.
Teaneck, NJ
“Photo quote within two hours of my text - wild. Came over the next morning, installed three IKEA cabinets and mounted the TV with the cables hidden in the wall. Clean, fast, fair. He found a stud where my last guy said there wasn't one.”

Electrical Repairs · FAQs
What Bergen County homeowners ask before booking.
Is your electrical work up to code and safe?
Absolutely. Jaime tests circuits, uses proper connectors, and ensures fixtures and devices meet local NJ code. Safety and neat wiring come standard on every job - outlets, switches, fans, and fixtures across Bergen County.
Can you add recessed lighting or smart dimmers?
Yes. Recessed lights, under-cabinet LEDs, and smart controls are popular upgrades in Bergen County homes. Jaime installs them cleanly and reliably - and checks for a neutral wire at the switch box first so there are no surprises. Lutron Caseta, Leviton, Kasa, all the common brands.
Will you install a smart switch I bought?
Yes - Lutron Caseta, Leviton, Kasa, all the common ones. Most installs are 25–40 minutes. The catch: smart switches usually need a neutral wire at the switch box; older Bergen County homes sometimes don't have one. Jaime checks before quoting so there are no surprises.
