Previously known as the Haledon Reservoir, Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve was created when Molly Ann Brook was dammed in 1919. Since then, this site has been used as a public outdoor space. Today, the area is a haven for various plants and animals, as well as a nature reserve for the borough of Franklin Lakes.
