You’ll have plenty of fun stomping around dinosaurs, learning about their history, and exploring different areas of the park. It is located at 3 Overpeck Pk Driveway, Leonia, NJ 07605.
With over 30 live shows, interactive games, and interactive activities, Field Station: Dinosaurs will pique your interest in these prehistoric creatures. The Park is located in a scenic park on the banks of a creek and surrounded by natural woods. It’s free to visit and opens to the public on May 28th. Make sure to check their website for opening dates.
The park opens on June 19, 2021. Hurricane Isaias damaged the park during its initial opening in August of last year. Now, the dinosaurs are back and are even more impressive with new trails and exhibits. Including a life-sized Dilophosaurus, pteranodon, the park is sure to delight even the most hesitant dinosaur lover.
The Earth Systems Laboratory is one of the world’s largest dinosaur exhibits, featuring life-size animatronics. The exhibit explains the history of Earth and New Jersey’s geological past, including the effects of climate change. Visitors can also participate in fossil-digging activities and even buy a book about dinosaurs. The park is open Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 12am.
The dinosaur museum is the oldest dinosaur theme park in the United States. It has a 300-thousand-square-foot museum with a replica of the woolly mammoth. The museum also contains a museum exhibit of Dryptosaurus, the first carnivorous dinosaur. If dinosaurs aren’t your thing, you can still check out the park’s children’s playground. More info.
The park features hands-on science activities for the whole family. The Junior Bone Hunters dig for fossils and bring them home with them.
