Essex County Turtle Back Zoo

The Turtleback Zoo in West Orange, NJ is home to over 500 animals from 200 species. Tickets are typically $1 to $4 and take around 34 minutes. You can even book tickets online with selected operators. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the zoo’s holiday lights spectacular, held every year. More than 50 holiday characters adorn the venue with twinkling lights. The zoo also offers stroller rentals for just $7 and $10. Located inside the zoo’s entrance, the Savanna Café offers a full range of snacks and beverages. The zoo also shares its grounds with the Orange Reservoir, where you can walk around the lake or take a boat ride on a swan-shaped paddle boat. The Essex County Zoo is open daily except Christmas Day. It includes several exhibits, including the Great Plains Exhibit and the Scottish Highland Exhibit.
